A business owner’s job is to focus on running the company. Armand and John founded Attracct Solutions to equip business leaders with financial plans and tools to forecast and plan for the future, with scalability at the forefront. They know it takes drive to run a business. For executives looking to achieve their stretch financial goals, Attracct brings their experience leading financial operations for global industry leaders.

We currently support a variety of top performing companies, spanning the construction, software, and manufacturing industries, and the nonprofit sector. Our team provides experienced financial leadership and outsourced, highly customized solutions for the CFO and Controller function.

Principal

John Roberts, CPA

As a third-generation entrepreneur, John understands the limited resources that most small business possess to finance an in-house general & administrative (G&A) department, despite a critical need for a trusted partner and accounting advisor. He founded Attracct to provide relief to business owners in turning their books and financial operations over to a diligent, trustworthy CPA with a knack for small business so that owners can get their nights and weekends back and not dread the year-end close or tax prep season.

John began his career in audit/assurance with Postlethwaite & Netterville, a regional, Louisiana-based public accounting firm. With a behind-the-scenes look at the area’s most successful companies, he was able to observe the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to scale and optimize an operation. Additionally, he was able to learn from the less-successful clients in what did not work on a day-to-day basis and the headwinds created by poor culture, organization, and lack of attention to detail. 

John then took a vertical leap to a worldwide, private-equity-backed industrial manufacturer to work in corporate finance. John gained an understanding of all facets of the company including the importance of timely, accurate financial data and how that data affects management decisions.  

John has also invested in residential real estate for the last 3 years. He is personally involved in the underwriting, acquisition, repositioning, and management of a $1M SFR portfolio. He is co-host of a local real estate investor association group, The Red Stick REIA. John’s immediate goal is to add commercial real estate assets to his portfolio. 

When John is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lexi, and three daughters, Gianna, Giuliana & Giorgia. He also enjoys reading non-fiction, riding bikes, and working out. 

Principal

Armand Michaud

Armand has more than 15 years of experience in financial management and decision-making for industrial, construction, and distribution companies. From fractional accounting and CFO work to financial consulting, he’s helped small businesses with ten employees to global manufacturing and fabrication leaders to plan, track, and report on budgets and key performance metrics. 

Small business clients view Armand as a valued partner whose first priority is understanding their business goals in order to build financial plans, budgets, procedures, and implementation systems to track and report on metrics that move the needle. He has optimized financials for companies seeking to minimize overhead, centralize operations geographically, and expand to numerous business segments.

With financial leadership spanning Fortune 100 companies, companies with $1B revenue, and some of the world’s largest production facilities, Armand supports management from publicly traded and private equity (PE) owned companies in making data-based decisions that spell success. He has particular expertise in job-costing as well as implementing and optimizing financial Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) programs like JD Edwards. Leading the financial operations of multiple large-scale facilities, Armand learned first-hand that running a successful business at scale requires a strong culture, with goal-oriented leaders who are willing to go the extra mile.

When Armand is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, including his two young children. As a lifelong LSU fan, you can normally find Armand wearing purple or gold on Saturdays. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and snow skiing.

Past Experience

Armand began his career in 2007 with The Shaw Group, a global engineering, construction, and pipe and steel fabricator, based in Louisiana. Within a year, Armand was promoted to Controller of Shaw Process Fabricators, overseeing the business line’s $40+ million of annual revenue.

Armand then took a massive stride in his career development when he was appointed to Project Manager for CB&I and eventually named the facility Financial Controller for multiple locations and $200 million annual revenue. This included leading the financial operations at Sunland Pipe Fabricators, the largest pipe fabrication facility in North America.

In 2015, Armand was named the Controller for a new global pipe fabrication and distribution company, Epic Piping. As the financial leader on the start-up’s senior management team, he led the development and implementation of organization-wide financial policies and procedures, establishment of month-end close processes, and was responsible for budgeting and financial planning and analysis, treasury management, and financial reporting to internal and external customers as well as PE owners. While at Epic he also was also an SME lead and oversaw the implementation and development of the company’s global ERP system, JD Edwards.

Firm Manager

Jacob Faust

Jacob grew up in Denham Springs, Louisiana.  Coming from a family of generational small business owners and entrepreneurs with a financial background, he began to develop a passion for the financial services industry at a young age. Jacob’s career began in banking where he gained knowledge in capital markets, investments, and correspondent banking.

Jacob joined the Attracct team in August 2022.  His extensive experience in banking and finance immediately brought an un-matched knowledge of financial management to our client’s. In just a few short years, Jacob has dealt hands-on with various critical aspects of banking for institutions with asset sizes greater than $1B in revenue. Jacob brings a perspective to our clients that allows them to utilize the same financial management tips and tricks learned from large banking environments.

When Jacob is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Caitlyn and exploring being a new dad to his son, MJ. He also enjoys spending most of his time outdoors – hunting, fishing, attending sporting events, and spending time with his dogs, Hank and Finn.

Client Excellence Director

Kimber Gill

Kimber was born in North Louisiana and relocated to Prairieville, Louisiana following her college graduation. She attended Northwestern State University, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, where she studied Business Administration.

In March 2023, Kimber joined the Attracct team in the capacity of Client Excellence Coordinator. With a dynamic blend of project management expertise, executive administration finesse, and client coordination acumen, Kimber is a seasoned professional dedicated to ensuring exceptional client experiences and building reliable relationships. With a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for client satisfaction, Kimber’s skills facilitate smooth interactions, address needs, and exceed client expectations. Her career reflects a relentless commitment to delivering top-tier project outcomes, empowering executives to excel, and fostering strong client relationships.

Kimber has been happily married to her husband, Scott, for 12 years. Outside of work, she enjoys cuddling with her furry dog children-Brees Silas and Boomer Scout. She also enjoys traveling and going on adventures with her human family-Bailey, Brandon, Rylee & Payton.

Accounting Director

Christy Mire

Christy is from Franklin, Louisiana, where she spent her formative years before venturing to the Baton Rouge area in 2001, following the completion of her Finance degree at University of Louisiana Lafayette. Her professional journey began in the banking industry, initially as a financial services representative, progressing to roles of increasing responsibility as a branch manager and loan officer.

Several years down the road, Christy transitioned from the banking industry into the realm of accounting. She started her accounting career as an accounting clerk at a small local manufacturer and swiftly ascended the ranks, assuming roles as Accounting/HR manager and subsequently Controller. Her financial management acumen further evolved through tenures with a local construction firm and another small manufacturing company.

With a rich 16-year tenure in small business management, Christy has consistently harbored a passion for aiding fellow local enterprises in their growth and success endeavors. Her experiences have endowed her with an exceptional perspective on the day-to-day challenges that such businesses face.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Christy cherishes quality time spent with family and friends. She also enjoys watching Saints and LSU football and takes joy in the company of her two rescue dogs, Beaux and Macaroni.

Senior Tax Associate

Maddie Kent

Maddie was born and raised in Prairieville, Louisiana, then relocated to Ponchatoula, Louisiana after college. Following in her grandfather’s footsteps, Maddie is a hard-working, dedicated and results-driven tax professional. Joining the Attracct team as Senior Tax Associate, Maddie brings over three years of experience in public accounting, with a strong foundation in individual income tax, business/corporate tax, commercial real estate, and tax planning.

Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University, Maddie embarked on a career path defined by accuracy, diligence, and a commitment to excellent client service. In the early stages of her career, Maddie has already demonstrated a knack for decoding the complexities of tax regulations and compliance. With proficiency in Microsoft, QuickBooks, CCH, and many additional software, Maddie skillfully navigates tax documentation, preparation, research, and tax planning projects, always aiming for accuracy and efficiency.

With a commitment to professional growth, Maddie frequently engages in trainings and courses to stay abreast of the ever-evolving tax landscape. Her ongoing pursuit of knowledge keeps Maddie well-informed of the latest tax codes, ensuring that clients receive maximum benefit from up-to-date expertise and strategic tax solutions.

Maddie’s approach is characterized by meticulous attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a focus on delivering quality results that exceed expectations, marking her as a promising asset not only in the field of taxation, but also for sustainable business growth at Attracct.

When Maddie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her boyfriend, Kyle, and her cat, Kitty. She also enjoys watching baseball and football, during their respective seasons, singing competitions, and game shows. Lastly, Maddie has recently come across a new-found love for DIY projects, shopping, and decorating her new home.

Staff

Breyton Keneker

Breyton is a dedicated and accomplished, entry-level accounting professional who is currently enrolled in the College of Business at Louisiana State University. He is expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and hopes to obtain his MBA (Master of Business Administration) and CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification after undergrad. Beginning in his hometown of Houston, Texas, Breyton’s journey into the world of accounting began with a passion for numbers and a strong work ethic instilled by his parents.

Throughout his time at LSU, Breyton has upheld an outstanding Grade-Point-Average, which has led him to accomplish the Dean’s list for the past three semesters. Breyton was also a member of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honor society for accounting, finance, and information systems students. In addition to his busy schedule, Breyton maintains a current active member of the Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity.

Breyton joined the Attracct team in August of 2022 as their first intern-level employee and has since set high expectations for other accounting internships in the future. Breyton is well-versed in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Excel. His intense attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and passionate dedication to accuracy make him a valuable resource to provide clients with the utmost satisfaction.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Breyton enjoys football, baseball, hunting, fishing, and motorsports. He also enjoys hanging out with family, including his two younger brothers and two chocolate labs.

Staff Accountant

Whitney Bourque

Whitney was brought up in the small town of Abbeville, Louisiana as the eldest of her siblings. Shortly after graduating high school, she moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she attended Louisiana State University. As a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Whitney continues to have a passion and drive for education, as she plans to return to school in August of 2024 to pursue a Law degree.

Whitney joined the Attracct team with an accounting internship in May of 2023, during which she has enhanced her analytical skills and deepened her real-world experience with day-to-day accounting practices, including financial statement analysis and client interactions. Whitney has developed a wide variety of skills by utilizing accounting software such as QuickBooks and Excel, and she is eager to continue expanding her technical knowledge.

When Whitney is not at work or attending class, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, traveling, and trying out new restaurants.

Social Media & Admin Coordinator

Mikaela Meizoso

Mikaela’s journey began in North Carolina, where she was born into a life of constant movement due to her father’s position as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps. The nomadic lifestyle led her to various locations, but it was in Maryland that she spent the majority of her formative years. During high school, Mikaela’s artistic talents caught the eye of LSU, leading to her acceptance into the College of Design. Relocating to Baton Rouge marked the beginning of her pursuit of a career in design, initially focusing on graphic design. However, driven by a desire to blend creativity with business acumen, Mikaela ultimately earned her degree in Business Management.

In November of 2023, Mikaela joined the Attracct team, assuming the role of Social Media Coordinator. She seamlessly integrated into the accounting industry, contributing not only to social media but also in administration, branding, videography, and editing. Her thirst for knowledge has driven her to explore additional realms, setting her sights on expanding her expertise in web design.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Mikaela finds joy in the company of friends, embraces a healthy lifestyle through gym sessions, and harbors a deep passion for travel.

Madeline Anthony

Madeline was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. After graduating from CE Byrd High School, Madeline was excited to continue her academic career at LSU in Baton Rouge. Madeline’s major is Accounting and she also plans to complete her MBA at LSU to help her prepare for the CPA exam.

During Madeline’s time at LSU, she has been an active member in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, as well as Beta Alpha Psi, an international society for accounting and finance students. Madeline attended two summers of international summer study, with the most recent in international marketing and business. These experiences fueled her love of business and more importantly, what makes them work, Accounting.

Madeline joined the Attracct team with an accounting internship in January of 2024. She is efficient with Attracct client offerings such as bookkeeping and data analysis and is expanding her knowledge of processes, policies and systems that are crucial to the success of great businesses. Madeline is proficient with QuickBooks and Excel and continues to expand her knowledge of accounting software packages.

When not attending class or work, Madeline enjoys running, cooking, traveling and having fun with her friends and family.

Principal

Donny Schmitt

Donny began in the financial advisor industry more than 15 years ago by helping individuals who were closing in on retirement with several years left in their careers. These clients needed more than the traditional cookie cutter, “set it and forget it” financial advice. They were seeking a collaborative partner relationship that allowed them to adapt their plans regularly and proactively to meet near and long-term goals.

Whether representing business owners in developing comprehensive retirement, succession, real estate, insurance, and tax plans, or medical professionals looking to structure their finances for the most productive returns possible, Donny emphasizes the value of his clients’ time. He holds his Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, along with Life/Health and Property/Casualty insurance licenses.

Donny partnered with the Attracct family to create a one-stop environment. It affords him the ability to understand the full picture of his clients’ business income and assets which, in turn, allows him to provide continued guidance as their careers advance and/or priorities shift.

When Donny is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. Donny is married to Megan, and they have 3 children- Dean, Vera and Stabiler. He played golf in college at Nicholls State University in Thibodeaux, LA and still loves to be on the course whenever he can. He also enjoys finding new restaurants, fishing and traveling.

Junior Advisor

Cade Seymour

Cade is a motivated and ambitious financial professional who was born and raised in Walker, Louisiana. After graduating from Walker High School, Cade would continue his academic career at Louisiana State University. As a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Cade is excited to begin his career in the financial services industry.

Cade joined the Attracct Financial team as a Junior Advisor in February of 2024. As an advisor, Cade is committed to providing personalized financial guidance tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and goals. Whether it’s creating a comprehensive financial plan, managing investments, or planning for retirement, he is dedicated to helping individuals and families make informed decisions to secure their financial future.

When Cade is not working, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and going to the gym. He also enjoys golfing with friends and spending time with his family.

Sara Freeze

Sara Freeze is a seasoned professional with a decade of experience in an Associate Financial Advisor role. Having a background in insurance operations before joining the Attracct team, the transition was easy, and she has never looked back. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a keen ability to manage office operations seamlessly while delivering exceptional client experiences. With a solid foundation in finance and a passion for helping others navigate their financial journeys, Sara is integral in our practice’s day-to-day operation. Her dedication to her craft and commitment to client satisfaction have earned her a reputation as a trusted advisor within our community. Sara is married to Hugh, and mother to her son, Henry.
